DAS serves Waterford City & County,founded in Dungarvan in Aug 04 has 15 members, .Telescopes range from 90mm refractors ;114mm Goto's ;114mm EQ ,150mm-200mm Dobs;200mm SCTs to 300mm GOTO in fixed observatory also plans in pipeline for 500mm truss . We have facilities available to us in Dungarvan & WIT in Waterford. We also have a private dark site for society members and guests.

Founded in 1998 Galway Astronomy Club has a membership of over 50 people from throughout Counnaught. Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at our meeting venue, The Claddagh Hall. We usually invite a speaker from NUI Galway or elsewhere. Yearly we organise a Day trip to places like Birr, Armagh Planetarium or Blackrock Castle. And every January we hold Ireland's only winter astro gathering, the Galway Astronomy Festival.
