One of IFAS's founding members, Terry Moseley, has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the Queen's Birthday Honours. Terry is currently the Irish Astronomical Association's PRO Officer, and was also its President in the past (on 3 occassions of 3 years each).
"I'd like to dedicate it to the late Sir Patrick Moore, who started and encouraged my interest in astronomy, and whose limitless enthusiasm and dedication was an example to everyon", said Terry.
