Wouldn't it be nice for the rain to stay away for Friday night at Sandymount?

Hi Seanie.

The Dublin Sidewalk Astronomers did go down to Sandymount on Friday 24th April as outlined in Orbit.

I arrived before 8 pm and it was raining badly. At about 9 pm some of the sky cleared and we saw the Moon and Jupiter.

But it rained again 15 minutes later. We had left by 10 pm. Therefore it was a dud of a night.

Thank you for asking, Seanie.

Clear skies to you.

Aubrey.

That's a shame alright. Still, there has been some EXCELLENT viewing the preceding 3 weeks, I haven't spent so much time out with the scopes this year so far!
