Hi Folks
The countdown is underway for sts 128,again like sts127 in July the pad has been hit by lighting but no serious damage occurred.Times do not favour us this time for a early tuesday morning launch,it will fly over in daylight just before 7am.However as far as I can make out,if there is a 6 day or more delay we might be in for another spectacular sight in our skies this week. Will post more as I hear more.

All the best eamonn

We were treated to a spectacular fly by of the shuttle and external tank last time,
although at around 7:15am will we see them here?
The pass altitude is good but will they be bright enough?
Some people are now saying that the ISS is visible in daylight with the Sun low,
if this is true then we should see them.

Let's keep our fingers x'd as usual for good weather!

This is the crew of sts 128.There is a 90% chance of favourable weather at launch time, however it will be so at fueling time tonight, anvil clouds are gathering around the kennedy Space Center and this is not a good time to have lighting passing over you when are loading millions of gallons of fuel...Liftoff set for Tuesday morning 6-36am

11 hours to go...
It's still looking ok for launch on time.
The weather is 50/50.
It'll be interesting to see if we can see them
at that time in the morning.

Found this on Spaceflight now a great source for info.It shows that as the launch slips, its good news for us.If the launch slips to the 28 we should see the Shuttle and tank 18 minutes after liftoff. As of this hour it looks go for launch

Schedule to take off approx 24 hours later.
