Awesome stuff! Who's up for a similar challenge? :)

How did they control the descent? One a balloon deflates, its all down to the power of g after that. How do you account for it to NOT drop in a populated area for example?

There is a similar project from a group of MIT students, see space.1337arts.com/
They will be releasing a step-by-step illustrated guide on how to do a launch for $150 including cameras, gps receivers, etc
