IC 5070 Pelican Nebula was created by Kinch
A total of 19 hours between 28th May & 4th June.
This is the first panel for what I hope to finish as a two panel final image.

Fair playBrendan 19 hours at this time of year is dedication ! I love the detail in the top right corner of the dark nebula 'string' pointing towards the 'eye' ur must show many light years long?

Well done

Keith..

Thanks very much Keith.

Actually anyone doing astrophotography should be using Sequence Generator Pro ( www.mainsequencesoftware.com/Products/SGPro ) as it makes going back to target & continuing gathering data for the same image night after night - week after week (if need be) just so much easier. Dedication then is really not a big deal.
I have been using that software since I started and have watched it evolve over the years......it really is worth the effort to get up to speed with it.
Anybody else using it?

Brendan.

Just thought I would put this up. I have started the second panel of the mosaic. This is one Ha sub from each panel (stitched together) - no processing, just a quick stretch & convert to JPEG......to show the coverage of the final image.......whenever it will be completed.
