Irish Astronomy Trail was created by pdempsey
New website linking the publicly funded and accessible astronomical sites in Ireland: www.astronomytrail.ie . Not yet formally launched, so any feedback would be great for last minute changes.

The Inisowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium near Greencastle Co.Donegal, might be worth a mention. Is there also one in Schull, West Cork that operates during the summer months?

Hey pdempsey,
Thanks for the share!

There is indeed a small observatory in Schull. I think it's
the on in the community college that you're thinking of. Nice
big schmit-cas in there. From memory I think it's an old celestron.

They also have an amazing planetarium in the school.

Thanks. I'll pass on Inisowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium and Schull to the project managers. Is Schull still running. The website's last events are in 2010.
There's also a facebook page www.facebook.com/IrishAstronomyTrail and twitter feed @IrishAstroTrail.
