Hi,
I observed the partial eclipse from Rush, Co Dublin.
Started completely overcast, but at maximum saw the eclipse through cloud, no filter needed.
A little later for a few minutes later the sun shone brighly and got photos through my 85 mm refractor. The quality of light on the ground had a strange look!
See my website Variable Star Nights for the images.
Hope it was good in the Faroes
John

Stuck it out in Co. Monaghan where the sky was getting worse by the minute .. We finally got a 2mn or so break shortly after 10am from which we frantically imaged from the scopes as much as we could! Will be looking through the results soon. All together a brilliant event despite the clouds, it actually made it possible to get glimpse at the event naked eye at various times.

i managed to get to see about 20 minutes of the eclipse at the end from 10:20 when the cloud thinned a bit. the sky did get very dark at the maximum but it was totally clouded out.

We saw the ecli[pse through cloud in Dunsink about 10 minutes after maximum.
The general consensus is that, by irish standards, it was a success
Michael.

Great to see other got a view of this, had visions of no one at all seeing it.
We arrived on site to a foggy scene, but after maximum eclipse, we got a few breaks and saw it, so happy enough given the weather,
But isn't it typical though, the only bad weather we've had all week and it would happen this morning, I'm at home now with the scope in the back garden, hardly a cloud in the sky and looking at the Sun with filters on.
