Data from my magnetometer shows that the CME hitting Earth at the moment may cause aurorae over ireland tonight

Dave your magnetometer is not lying. The KP index just shot up to 10. Cloudy here but if anyone has clear slots, go outside and check for aurora now!!

Bloody total cloud over Ireland last night.

Drove from work in Galway to Charlestown almost 60 miles, was even watching Sat 24 for breaks but total cloud cover while high above the KP was at 8, but did anyone see the photos on SP? Not as impressive as one might have thought for such a severe storm with no Corona at zenith, one guy said the images need a long exposure to see colour while another photo just showed a bright green horizon, so I'm not feeling too upset today but annoyed like everyone else at the time.
Of course was clear the previous night and even went up to Lough Talt to photo M45 and Jupiter, KP still high so maybe it will clear tonight
