Okie dokie

John, am I spelling this right?

Okeydokey, I think, better ask Bill O'Herlihy! (Irish soccer presenter, Says Okeydokey before almost every sentence)

Ooh I'm soo excited only two days to go!

One question for Vagelis. My wifie thought of this today. Is there any mobile phone coverage at or near the site? She wants a running report!

Regards and Clear Skies,

Dave.

Yes, there is mobile phone coverage at the observing place, but there are some spots where the signal is very weak, so sometimes you have to walk a ferw meters to get a descent signal. Also, inside the refuge building the signal is generally weak, and it only gets stronger just by the fire place. But a few meters away from the building the signal is Okeydokey (thanx Dave :D ).
Down at the spring there is some weak signal, too. Sugested way for short communication is SMS (there might be a delay in receiving).

These are our mobile numbers, and you can also give it to your people, if for some reason they cannot reach your mobiles:

Vagelis Tsamis: 0030 697 3047420
Yannis Effremidis: 0030 697 4976036
Leonidas Papasotiriou: 0030 697 4463730

(be warned, Leon has a slight german accent: "Vis is de vay to the rrhefuge!"

I will bring along our club's Coronado PST.

Also, there will be some telescopes with white light filters.
Mine and Yannis's included (10" and 8" 1000 Oaks). But I doubt if any sunspots will be visible this time.

Coupled with a few layers of T's and a hoodie I reckon
that'll be fine.

That's the best even if when gets dark I put on everything I have
The most important is good shoes!

Anyway everything is ready and organized, be prepared to enjoy the
night sky in Greece, the food in Kastanitsa and Acropolis by night
after dinner on Wednesday evening!
And of course our unique, lovely, amazing, incomparable
& fantastic company
Have a nice flight to Athens!
