jeeez, they just said at the news that it could be another 22 years before we have such an other clearly visible full lunar eclipse over Ireland

....are we lucky with the weather here in the east or what ?

that's just them insuring themselves over their weather forecasts! In 22 years time you'll hav e forgotten they said that afte a few more cloudy eclipses!!! :D

No! we aren't in the west anyhow, I've alot of high level gaze here.
Its so faint its taking 20 second exposure at iso 800 with the 12" to catch it, thats alot fainter then I imagined.
I should have gone with plan B, a weekend trip to southern Spain on some cheap ryanair flight.
