that's just them insuring themselves over their weather forecasts! In 22 years time you'll hav e forgotten they said that afte a few more cloudy eclipses!!!

Its so faint its taking 20 second exposure at iso 800 with the 12" to catch it, thats alot fainter then I imagined.
I should have gone with plan B, a weekend trip to southern Spain on some cheap ryanair flight.

No! we aren't in the west anyhow, I've alot of high level gaze here.jeeez, they just said at the news that it could be another 22 years before we have such an other clearly visible full lunar eclipse over Ireland

the haze is lifting slightly, the red is much more prominent
