Hello all.

I hope you are enjoying good health right now.
And even doing some observing with all the clear nights which are occurring.

Unfortunately I have not been doing any observing at all.
Simply because I am enduring the Attack of the Shingles!

If should be the name of a Hollywood Blockbuster - I know.
But there you have it.
I hope it is my final attack from Satan before my 60th birthday.
That occurs in late May.

Thankfully, I am pleased to say I appear to be over the worst of it today Wednesday. 2 antibiotics are working at last.

I wouldn't wish this suffering on anyone else.
But I hope to do some more observing in less than 2 weeks time.

I never had shingles but my wife did - so I have a good idea what you went through. Hope, as you say, you are over the worst of it now....

May they soon just be a bad memory.....and the clouds clear so that you can engage in more pleasant pursuits.....looking at dark skies.

I don't think shingles are very contagious, Michael.

But I don't think I will be any observing for at least a week.
Doctor's orders!
I'm not even permitted to go swimming either at my local leisure centre.

I'm happy to say to you all the shingles are almost gone today Friday.

By the way Venus and Uranus will be a little over 2 degrees apart for the next 3 days.

Hi Aubrey, 

I was sorry to read that you had shingles, but happy to know that they're almost gone. 

I have been in bed all week with a very bad cold. It has knocked the stuffing out of me. Thankfully, I'm over the worst of it. 

And all going well, I'll be out with my scope towards the end of next week.
