Merry Christmas all. Nearly time for your highlights of the year Aubrey; for me there's been something of an 'After the Lord Mayor's Show' feeling about this year, following NEOWISE last year. But I'll try to come up with a few highlights. And congrats to those fantastic engineers for getting the  JWST off the ground.

I have hugely enjoyed all your observations and images throughout 2021. 

In a about a week's time I will be asking each of us what our favourites were this year. 

I know I have quite a decent number.
