Mayo area was created by PMcN
Hi there
any astronomers out there from the Castlebar/Mayo area? It would good to here from you. I am only a beginner to the hobby, but would be interested to see if there are others nearby.

hi Peter,

there's a couple of people subscribed to the member list (see the link to this list on far left) who have keyed into their profile that they live in the Mayo area. Also, James Adamson, a contributor to the Astronomy Ireland magazine, is in Mayo but I do not have contact details for him there.

these two items might be of interest too (sorry that the first one is out-of-date);

Ireland, Turlough Park, Mayo . . . link to www.museum.ie

> July 14: Rain on St Swithin's Day... weather talk, National Museum of

all the best,

Theres a James Adamson credited with some images on the EAAS website though east Antrim seems a good distance form Mayo. www.eaas.co.uk/ they may be able to give you his contact details if its the same person.

The only other reference to the name I can find is on the A&S Ltd. magazine page

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your magazine. It is very informing when it comes to celestial data on all the astronomical bodies, for example, periodic comets, asteroids etc, the pictures in the magazine are always captivating especially the ones taken with the Hubble space telescope.”
James Adamson, Ireland.

Must clearly be reading a different magazine to the one I used to get :-)
Even so it might be worth dropping a mail to info@astronomy.ie , tell them we sent you :-)
