Galway annexed by the USA!!!

I was just looking at the list of star parties for the US next year on the Sky and Telescope web site and the Connacht Star Party in January 2005 is listed as taking place in the USA :!:

I know Galway is to the far west of us in Dublin but surely not that far

on the point of star parties, I'm doing a trip again next year to Riverside so anyone SERIOUSLY interested in going to California in late-May 2005 should PM me and we can maybe set up a discussion. The airlines will have their seat sales in January so we could be prepared for that and have travel arrangements worked out.

Is Galway not as far from the US as Hawaii !!

Funny, cause i sent them an email with the full details and got one back saying that it had been posted on sky & telescope website, but when i went in i could not see it, so presumed they were about to do it, so where is it now?? will re send that email

if you go in to the "Events Calendar" and select all events taking place in the USA in 2005 (and "All States") then you'll see a list of six. The Galway one is top of the list though!
