I stumbled on to this video when I was digging around for python tutorials. It has an overview of the 8.4 metre telescope and the giant magellan telescope along with the CCD. I find python a great, general-purpose programming language. Those of you who are coders who have not been exposed to python may find the rest of the video interesting.
