Hi John. Yip, always next year!
Yeah, It's a pity we had to move the starparty back from our usual time slot
due to another event that was put on around the same time.
I myself had booked the weekend off work in advance a few months ago and had to use up the time. :s
I'm sure also others in IFAS clubs that came along before were expecting it to be on earlier than this weekend - apologies about that!
Anyway, it looks like this weekend should be good.
Accuweather is giving fairly good predictions for clear skies.. here's hoping!

Yea, we've always run a starparty of one sort or another since the 1980's on a new moon in September (or very early October if we had to).
Anyway, the weather is looking good for the weekend, we should get to see some good objects, I'm doing up my list as I speak . : cheer:

A quick look this morning on the weather sites shows tonight being mostly clear. :woohoo:
Tomorrow night is not looking good though.

Hi Guys,

I obviously can't make it this weekend, but I wish you every success and hope the weather is favourable to you!

No problem Seanie and Neill,
We set up at around 7pm, , not a cloud in the sky, it was a super night, we had over 30 at it and there was a great selection of scopes to see through, thanks to everyone who came and made it a great night, we'll try again this evening, meeting at the hotel at 7 and heading to site if it's clear.
