ATTENTION TO ALL ATTENDING

After much debate on the Facebook group page
it has come to our attention that most people would
be happier with Aug 14th-16th...
For those of you who have already booked rooms with
Frida for Oct she said to let you know that she will change
you to Aug should you still wish to attend..

Sorry about all the changes and if this inconveniences
you in any way but I have to go with what the masses want
and lets remember that it was Aug 22nd last time so it shouldn't
be too much of a difference.. The Aug dates also give us more
of a possibility of clearer skies and of course a better chance
of holding the BBQ... YUMMMMMY.

Cheers Roy

Hi all,

I mistakenly rang frida to change dates. I thought Roy's message was saying to let her know and there wouldn't be a problem. But she told me she has automatically changed the bookings and people should only let her know if they want to cancel. Anyway, that's just me being dipsy as usual.

August suits me better because I am on holidays from work, my only regret about the change of date is the lost opportunity to see Orion high in the south, I can only imagine what a wonderful sight that would be.

Managed to see a fair few meteor

s including a big fireball through the Summer Triangle last night even through the fog and realised it was the peak of the Aurigids.

I also happened to notice this and will be calling down early to Skelligs next year for sure! : )

Hi all,

Looking forward to coming down again next year. Have booked 4 nights from the Wednesday to take in the Perseids peak. Under those Kerry skies, will hopefully be a spectacular sight :-)

Society for Popular Astronomy have the peak at 06:00 on the 13th, so the nights of the 12th and 13th will be good (weather permitting!)

Stay another night, that is so tempting. Have to agree, the Perseids under such dark skies should be spectacular, this year there were so many meteors spotted, that under a major shower they should be blinding. The only question you will have to ask yourself is do you observe the Perseids or deep-sky? What a choice!
