And the IFAS Astronomer of the Year 2014 is... was created by Seanie_Morris

The nominations came in for the coveted IFAS Astronomer of the Year 2014 accolade, with this year's winner rewarded to the person for helping create an astronomy event in the Northern Hemisphere's ONLY Gold Standard Dark Sky Reserve - Kerry.

I can't believe it, thank you all so much
for voting for me.. The good news is that with the help of Dave Connolly, Stephen Kershaw, William Bean and our resident BBQ chef Kevin Stephen Smith we will continue to make the SSP a success for many many years to come..
To all the other nominee's, I'm sure you all deserved this award more than me for what you have done to make amateur astronomy in Ireland a success.. I am extremely humbled by this award and will do my best to live up to those who have won this before me.
