Once again, to mark the festive season, the Irish Astronomical Society (IAS) has organised this special social event for astronomers. It is free and is open to all astronomers and their friends. The IAS would specially like to extend the invitation to our many friends in IFAS Clubs and in other astronomy groups. Like other years, the event will be an opportunity to share your enthusiasm for astronomy with like minded people, to meet old friends and make new ones. We look forward to seeing you there for what should be an interesting night.

This year astro enthusiast, consultant and author Ian Flitcroft presents an intriguing talk called "Journey by Starlight", Peter Denman IAS President gives us an insight into "The Music of the Spheres" and quizmaster John Flannery will entertain us with his fun astro questionnaires. Weather permitting, there may even be some time for a little observing.

Light refreshments will be available including mince pies and we look forward to plenty of chat before a warm log fire. This annual event would not be possible without the cooperation of DIAS and we would like to express special thanks to Hillary for her hospitality.
