Cork Astronomy Club welcomes Tony O’Hanlon who will give his talk titled : "Exo-planets, the possibilities of life". Covers exoplanet discovery, examples and the bio-chemical conditions needed for life, including those within our own Solar System. Tony is a prominent amateur astronomer, a member and co-founder of Shannonside Astronomy Club, and a former V.P. of the Irish Astronomical Association.
8pm, in UCC’s Civil Engineering Building, (this is near UCC’s College Road entrance). Please arrive 10 minutes early. If you want to join, at 7:30 please.
This is Cork Astronomy Club ’s monthly meeting, free admission. It closes at 9:45 pm but you are welcome to stay for tea afterwards, and to join our Club (€30 annual subscription, concession €20).
