In a talk called “The American eclipse – what actually happened? And what was it like to be there?” Cork Astronomy Club members will tell their experiences of the solar eclipse of 21/8/17 in Salem, Oregon, with an introduction on the mechanics of solar eclipses.
8pm, in UCC’s Civil Engineering Building, (this is near UCC’s College Road entrance). Please arrive 10 minutes early. If you want to join, at 7:40 please.
This is Cork Astronomy Club ’s monthly meeting, free admission. It closes at 9:40 pm but you are welcome to stay for tea afterwards, and to join our Club (€30 annual subscription, concession €20).
