IFAS Calendar 2018 was created by michael_murphy

Hello All,

Myself and John Flannery are working on the calendar for 2018.
We will have it ready for printing by November 6th and we are now taking orders.

The calendar will be printed on 100gsm paper with a 200gsm cover.
There will be 28 pages printed on A3 saddle stitched to A4.

This is similar to the 2017 calendar.

The prices (in Euro) are unchanged from past year and are as follows:
NumberCollectedDeliveredDelivered
IrelandRest of World
16.508.5010.50
215.0017.00
323.0025.00
429.0032.00

If you have an order for more than 4, email me on the address below and we can make an arrangement.

I will be at 'Comets, Stars and Mince Pies' in Dunsink on the 15th December if you wish to collect calendars.
I live in Dundrum in South Dublin and can arrange to meet up to deliver calendars as well.

We need a minimum of 50 calendars to make this viable and I have set up a gmail account 'This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.' to handle orders.

If you are interested in a calendar can you send an email with the number required and delivery address. I will wait until Monday 6th November and if there are enough orders I will send the PayPal address (it will not be the current IFAS one so please don't use that) and put in the order with the printers.

If you've any questions, please mail me or post the question here.

Thanks,

Michael.

Just now seen the "Teaser" - Wow!. As usual, superb work by John and a great variety of images to bring it all together in a colourful final product. Well done to those directly responsible for bringing this to fruition.

What a totally brilliant calendar -simply because of the Total Solar Eclipse image for next December.
And of course for all the other images too.

My strongest thanks to Michael Murphy!!

+1 John does an excellent job of bringing a lot of info to the pages of the calendar. The pictures help sell the product - maybe :-), but the real value lies in the detail available in the text.

Many thanks for the kind words about the calendar folks. Sorry about the very late reply to the thread - lots of other suff has been happening on the astronomy front for me. A special thanks to the photo contributors whose images really make the calendar.

Thinking of the 2018 calendar cover and John Young's passing today means we are in the 50th anniversary year of our first manned trip to the Moon (Apollo 8) with only 5 of the moonwalkers now left alive. Will we go back before they have all passed away?

2019 calendar data now more or less compiled - only items still fluid are 2019 mission launch dates and the scheduling of astronomy/science festivals. Oh, and there's still room to squeeze in a bright comet. Please!

Happy New Year to all,

John
