Hi all
The weather looks good for Friday night.  Anyone interested in heading for the Sugarloaf?  Say 8.00.

Please do count me in, Paul.
One of the things I would like to observe is my final carbon star in Andromeda.

Hi Paul.  I will probably be able to make it too, though not until a bit later.  Finger crossed.

Here's to hoping we will not have any snow on the roads.
Our cars need to stay safe on them especially when going downhill on the way home.
And our ABS braking systems need to be operating well.

Clear skies from Aubrey.

We will play it as the evening goes on.  If it looks to be getting worrying we can head home early.

Hello Paul.

Please forgive me
I don't think I will make it.
I know for sure that the twisty roads are going to extremely treacherous especially after 7 pm.
In fact it wouldn't surprise me if the roads were closed just a little bit up from Kilmacanogue.
Heaven only knows what the ground temperatures are going to be on those roads heading up to the Sugarloaf car park.
If the roads were not going to be frozen with ice and snow I would be up in the car park for sure.
What do you guys think?

Aubrey.

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree Aubrey.  I'm happy to wait and see what the conditions are tomorrow night, but reluctant to take risks.  Saturday may be better (forecast not to be quite as cold), would that be a possibility if Friday does not work out?

Due to the risk of driving on icy roads, we have decided to cancel the meeting.
Not sure what's happening on Saturday, Mike, will let you know on the day.

Hello, Mike and Paul.
I learnt today (Friday) that Sally's Gap is closed.
And that is not far from our Sugarloaf.
Still let's see what will happen in March!
I'm out observing tonight from my back garden.
I am still very keen to hunt down that final carbon star in Andromeda.
It's called C* 108 or Case 717.

Clear skies from Aubrey.
