Meeting at 8.00, all welcome.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

What about Lorenzo?

Maybe it will be gone by then!

Many thanks for the invite Paul. If the weather cooperates I'll be down for a couple of hours.

Clear skies,

Darren.

The weather is not going to co-operate, even if the rain passes over, the wind will be still very strong and on the side of the Sugarloaf when the wind is howling is not the best place to put up a telescope.  I will be staying at home.

Thank you for that message, Paul.
It turns out my tickly cough has returned.
So I am now on the heavy medication.

I don't know when I am going to use my scope again.
It's such a nuisance!

And Darren is a great guy with so much addictive enthusiasm!
Maybe the following week we will all be keen to meet up at the Sugarloaf; even if there will be a bright Moon.

Look after your health, everyone! (Oranges, hot drinks, Vitamin C, etc.)

Aubrey.

Many thanks Paul!

And better to be safe than sorry - another time though.

Kindest regards,

Darren.

Hi Aubrey,

Sorry to read that you're once again under the weather - metaphorically and literally!

If there is a meet-up planned for 11th October you can count me in.

And on that note, many thanks for the nice comment. It's easy to be enthusiastic about amateur astronomy because of people like you and the other active members of the IFAS.

The monthly observational sessions at the Sugar Loaf (as well as the regular forum postings of all things astronomical) make the hobby very accessible for newcomers like me. I'm sure such initiatives have also inspired many others to get out their scope and look up at the night sky.

Take care and kindest regards,

Darren.
