Hi Paul,

I'm afraid I won't be in a position to head down because my wife will have the car.... She's visiting her mother in Kilkenny for a few days from Sunday. Next time for sure!

Clear skies,

Darren.

I'll be down, Paul.

It seems we might have some clear skies over the next number of nights.
That is if the meteorologists are to be believed. Lol!

Best regards from Aubrey.

The weather for Sunday is looking iffy.  Tomorrow night might be promising, anyone want to try for it?

Sorry, Michael, there's a change of plan.  The missus informs me that she needs the car tonight, therefore no transport.  Let's hope tomorrow's weather improves.

I would prefer Saturday night.
I do like to get up early on Monday morning.
So what are we now thinking?
Is Saturday night still on?
The weather websites say the skies are due to clear from 10 pm both here in Dublin and the Sugarloaf.

Hi All,

My wife left for Kilkenny a day early. Meaning, if the offer of lift from Michael is good for tonight I'd happily go down this evening. Of course, no pressure if that can't be done. Just letting people know I'm up for it.

Clear skies,

Darren.

Paul! Aubrey here
Don't you live somewhere near Stillorgan?
I could give you a lift to the Sugarloaf on Saturday night.
I always come up from Clonskeagh Road and head out onto the M50 and M11.

See what you think.

Do we know of anyone else coming?

Best regards from Aubrey.

I have everything in the car now.
And the sky is brightening up.
There may be another shower or 2 still to come.
But it does seem good that we will have clearer skies later on.
Will there be just the 3 of us?
I have not heard from Paul.

Was it breezy up there?  I was in my back garden and the wind was stiff.  I saw comet NEOWISE from my front garden with my 10x50 binoculars, at the Sugarloaf it was brilliant, from the city of was faint, the head and coma seen, no tail.

Hi Paul,

It was very breezy. We didn't set up in the end as between the breeze and the very dark cloud approaching it wasn't worth the risk.

Yes. Vicious winds on Saturday night.
I would prefer to do some observing on Monday night from my own back garden.
We are supposed to have clear skies.
....and reasonably calmer winds too.

Best regards,

Aubrey.

As the weather forecast for this evening is for cloud and rain the meetup scheduled for this evening has been cancelled.
