Hi All,
On Thursday, December 16th the Irish Astronomical Society invites you to attend the eight annual Christmas social and fun event for our members and friends.  The invitation is extended to all amateur astronomers in IFAS Clubs and other astronomy groups. Because of the continuing Covid restrictions the annual "Stars, Comets and Mince Pies" event will again be held on Zoom and will include: 

"A Tale of Two Tails: Chasing Comets to Learn about Our Origin" an interesting talk by Dr Antonio Martin-Castillo of UCD (see below)

"The Sky in December" by IAS member John Flannery

"Virtual Coffee and Mince Pie break" with an Astro Quiz and some chat (remember to treat yourself with your own coffee and mince pies)
