Anyone interested in going somewhere dark tonight? was created by Until_then-Goodnight!
Hi everyone,

Having missed last Friday's Meetup and seeing that I'll miss this Friday's one, I've decided to make the most of tonight's clear sky.

I was up the Wicklow Mountains earlier and was inspired by the views to come back up tonight with my scope.

I appreciate that it's a weekday and a spur of the moment thing so I don't expect any takers, but I just thought I'd let people know that I'm heading out tonight on the off chance anyone might want to join me.

In terms of times, I'm planning to be setup at a dark site by approximately 22:30 IST and will probably finish 2 hours later.

Clear skies,
Darren.

Hello Darren.

I most certainly hope someone will join you tonight in the Sugarloaf car park.
The skies will be clear until 3am.
And the winds are very light: about 5 km/h.

Best regards from Aubrey.

Thanks for your message Aubrey. Conditions look ideal alright... I'm going to go after a few Globular Clusters in around Hercules. And speaking of Hercules, I understand it boasts a new meteor shower that peaked last night...I wonder if I'll see any meteors tonight... That'd be neat!

Clear skies,

Darren.
