Every time I hear about Robert Evans' remarkable achievements it makes me think that he'd be an excellent guest speaker to have at the WSP. However, I'm also pretty sure I'm not the first person that this has occurred to, and I imagine the very significant cost of flying someone from Australia to Ireland and back is the reason we haven't had him already at the WSP. Still, I'd say he'd give a fascinating talk, so maybe some time in the not too distant future...?

Easy.....

He searches for supernovae by memorizing the fields of galaxies. He has committed more than 1,000 galaxies and their environs to heart down to magnitude 15, so that he can check each field rapidly and systematically just by eye.
