neutrinos may cause dark energy by being stretched. sounds like they are clutching at straws but that would not be a first for cosmologists.

Conventional theory holds that neutrino mass does not change over time.


um, yes they do, thats part of neutrino oscillation.

At least its testable, masses recorded in different detectors should be different, though probably within the margins of error.

Though if this holds, then the voids in the universe should be the areas with greatest dark mass, and not the extended halos of galaxies which is where it seems to be from dark matter requirements.
