So.....less a big bang and more a big squirt, if they are right, where is the parent Universe. it's all very perplexing.....and as for the accepted view of time?? aaaahhhhhhh. In the words of Homer Simson "every time i learn something new - it pushes the old stuff out of my head"

From the article:

Professor Sean Carroll explained that "a universe could form inside this room and we’d never know".

Poet William Blake could have told them that:

"To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour."

"time" is a manmade concept. So before it was thought up...............it couldnt have existed.

If there was no time before the Big Bang then the Big Bang was made in no time at all.

So if there was time before the Big Bang, could this mean that there was matter aswell?

If there was matter, then before the Big Bang there could have been a previous Universe which instead of expanding (like our Universe) it might have been collapsing.

Very interesting.

I believe that i read something simlar somwhere not so long ago...........

I think it basically theorised that OUR universe is the result of a previous universe collapsing at the end of it's life.

Makes the mind boggle.
