Folks - I need to respond to AP by 20th November and a 50% deposit will need to be paid on that date. If anyone is interested, please do let me know.

For those unfamiliar with the way AP work, I put myself on the wait list for this telescope over 5 years ago and have now received notification that a telescope is imminent and I can choose to take it (or not). Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to take the 'scope but if there is anyone out there who would like the opportunity I would be happy to facilitate that.

Please note that if you *are* interested, there will be no markup, fee, add-on or commission etc. You would pay what I would pay - not one cent more.

Finally, please note that cost of the scope is $20,500 - the cost of the pallet, shipping and insurance are not included but I've no idea what that would be.

Sure, let's put a pool together and buy it for IFAS! With 2,200+ members splitting $20,500 plus the cost of insurance and shipping among ourselves, that's...

...$11.30 each!

I get first-light cuz I came up with the idea!

Thank me later,

Seanie.

Well, I wish I could, if nothing else it would be a good investment, possibly worth more second hand, a zero lead time is worth alot to the right buyer regarding a scope like this !

Gents ... and Seanie,

I have unit #3 and I highly recommend this scope. It is literally a photon bucket.

The only possible problem is that one requires a mount which will handle 75+ lbs for astrophotography and preferably a permanent setting. I do not have the permanent setup but must mount and dismount the scope each time out. It is for this reason that I have bulked up the past few years and ever since the arrival of the RHA.

"I will be back .... hasta la vista, baby!". ;-)
