I have for sale a brand new unopened HEQ5 Pro Belt Modification Kit from Rowan Astronomy for a project that never materialised. This excellent kit easily converts your HEQ5 mount to belt drive thus virtually eliminating backlash and noise and offers better tracking which is much improved over the original mechanical gears. The beauty of the kit is that it also maintains the original gear ratios and thus can be used with original Synscan Handset and / or EQMOD.

Cost new from astroshop.eu in Germany 139 euro, asking 110 euro (plus postage); I have original receipt for item if required.

Hey Mike, where abouts in Meath, my fathers place is not too far from Ashbourne (I will be out that direction most of today, well until about 5pm). Unfortunately I wont be in Galway that weekend. If not I can do a bank transfer tonight.
I am in no hurry for it as the weather lately has been so bad.
