SBIG STF8300 One Shot Colour CCD for Sale was created by Skygazer2013
Selling my STF-8300C One Shot Colour (OSC) camera kit, due to upgrade,this kit comes complete with;
  • STF-8300C colour CCD camera (5.4 micron, 3326 x 2504 pixels, USB 2.0, Thermo electric cooling to -40 degrees Celsius below ambient temperature)
  • ST-i colour Guide / Planetary camera (7.4 micron, 648 x 496 pixels, USB 2.0)
  • OAG-8300 Off axis guider
  • Power supply, USB cables for both cameras
  • Original CD Software
  • Pelican Carry case with custom cut foam inserts (bought from SBIG as a complete kit)
  • Adapter for Schmidt Cassegrain Telescope
  • 2"  Optolong L-Enhance Dual Band Light Pollution Filter included (bought 2020)
  • Technical specs for camera can be found at  diffractionlimited.com/product/stf-8300/

This camera was bought as a complete kit in 2013 and has given stalwart service over the years as I learned deep space, guided astrophotography.  It works extremely well with SGPro and PHD2 operating in Windows 10.  I believe newer versions of NINA also support SBIG cameras, but never used it with NINA myself.

This camera will work with most scopes, but would particularly suit scopes with a long focal length, such as an SCT with focal ratio of f/7 to f/10.  This camera may appeal to someone looking to start deep space imaging.  Some sample photos taken with this camera are attached.

Price is 650 euros for the entire kit.
