The Irish Book of Death and Flying Ships was created by johnflannery

yep, you've read right! That's the title of the book and one I really recommend to anyone fascinated by the unusual and early observations of sky phenomena. Author is Tim Coates.

all the accounts are drawn from The Annals of the Four Masters and other famous Irish tomes produced hundreds of years ago. The accounts are mostly one-liners with the year number quoted. Interspersed with the details of various pestilences that hit our fair isle are items on eclipses, aurora, and in one case, what appears to be an account of sundogs. Great reading.

I got it in Easons on Nassau St. for 14 euro.
