NASA's Sun_Earth Pack was created by ctr
Hi all

My pack arrived today and its great.

Two CD's and a DVD, a couple of posters and some data sheets.

I've only just had time to give a quick look over the "Our Sun, Our Earth" CD and I'm impressed. The enough in this to give a lecture on the Sun and maybe my first lecture to BLAS will be from this information.

I've also got a Space Weather CD and an "Earth's Dynamic Space" DVD

I received this pack by registering <<HERE>> as an amateur astronomer.

Anyone else get it?

Conor

About a month Michael, The heads up came from NASA's Night Sky Network and I'd also recommend joining this. Only a mail a month with some good downloads.

Just registered for the pack myself now too. It looks like a gret information pak for lectures and presentations alright!

Conor,

Thanks for the link. Our club has visited several schools in the area over the last year and we have been often asked for projects for the kids. This site has lots of interesting things that the classes could get involved in.

Thanks again.

This might also be of use, The Amateur Scientist from www.brightscience.com/

Its a collection of the Amateur Scientist articles in Scientific American since the 20's. They are graded by difficulty and price to build so you can get an idea of whats sensible and affordable to do.

Its a mixed bag of astronomy, earth science, chemistry, physics.

I'll bring the CD to COSMOS (note to self: book B&B!) if anyone wants a look through it.

Cheers,
~Al
