Missed Venus this Evening?? was created by Keith g
Hello All, Did Anybody catch a view of Venus this evening?, bloody cold i'll tell ya, but still I could'nt resist, I've just uploded a shot of it in the files section here: You can just about make out a gibbous phase now, better views to come over and into springtime :D

Taken through an 8" SCT at x100 mag - nice sight.

Keith, I went for the VELUX ROOFLIGHT ROUTE
It was brass monkey weather out there today, No sign of Mercury though, Venus was brilliant through Binos But clout to about 2/3 degrees over horizon, did u notice the red sky to the s/w at sunset

Was too late for the red sunset, or Mercury, but Venus by binos was great. Gave up after a few minutes as the mount was shaking (have to get frost-proof arms) Something to look forward to as it gets higher - lost in the trees from here, yet. :?
