Organisations

Irish Federation of Astronomical Societies
www.IrishAstronomy.org
The Federation is an umbrella group of the National and Regional Clubs. On the website you will find a discussion board, picture gallery and our bimonthly downloadable magazine. Drop in to chat about the Venus Transit 2004!

The Transit of Venus will occur on June 8th at 6.22am. Many of the Clubs below will be holding public events so please contact them for further details.

For clubs that have confirmed that they will be holding a public transit watch, we have listed the Venue as well as the contact details. Individual members of astronomy clubs may also be arranging transit watches, however in the interest of saftey we have listed only those clubs that are arranging public events, where we can be sure that experienced observers will be present.
