On Oct 12 UT, the 63km dia. asteroid (487) Venetia will occult a 10.1 mag star in Cancer for observers along a path from Dublin to Clare.

The combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 3.4 mag to 13.5 mag (the mag of the asteroid) for at most 2.1 secs.
