Hi there

I've noticed the past couple of nights that there is a beam of light in sky, it sweeps back and forth like a lighthouse. The best I can locate it is towards Three Rock Mountain or Dublin city, I'm on the southside towards Bray.

The bloody thing is annoying and I'm wondering if anyone knows the source of this unnecessary waste of energy?

It's probably one of those beam lights they have at carnivals. Theres a carnival not too far from where I live in Tallaght and it's a major pain in the ass alright! I don't think the light you're seeing is the one I'm seeing.

I can see it overhead on the southside also. Haven't had a chance to track it down.

I saw it this evening as well from Dundrum. It was south or south-east.

There is a Circus set up at the Leopardstown race course at the mo. It might be from that.

I saw it in Balbriggan it’s a right pain in the Ass

there is someone towards the city center shining a bright light in the sky again. i noticed first last week but when i was observing last night about 10:15 i saw it. it is south west of me and from the angle i saw it i would judge that it is in the city center. it must be the same shopping center that was doing it last year. maybe about 15 minutes later it looked like it was switched off.
