Brilliant flare was created by Fermidox
On Tuesday morning Iridium 68 flared in a spectacular fashion, mag -6.9 according to Calsky and -8.2 according to Heavens Above. Whichever, it was certainly the brightest I've seen and actually created a halo effect at max, presumably from the illumination of high hazy cloud. Seen here passing by Arcturus -
