What a super shot that is of Mercury, Finbarr!
-0.6 magnitude is spot on.
There is a bit of a yellow hue to it.
Mercury appears to be nearer to us than the Sun is judging by its distance you have given us.
Thank you again,
Aubrey.

Nice one Finbarr ! It's always difficult to photograph Mercury, observing it is very special also.
Well done on braving the cold
Keith.

That's right Aubrey, its current distance is 0.94 AU. A little known fact is that Mercury, on average, is closer to the Earth than Venus is...
It was quite a lucky break Keith, looking at the forecast there might not be another opportunity before it closes in on the Sun again.
Finbarr.
