Venus appears! was created by Keith g

Hi all, i just got my 1st glimpse of Venus yesterday evening Nov 26th at 5pm, very low in the southwest, only about 2 degrees up, but quite obvious to the naked eye, only about 10 degrees from the 3 day crescent moon. This is the start of a great showing right until very late spring next year. Anyone else get a view yet? Keith...

Congrats Keith on catching that.
I had a look at starry night pro and like you said, we're on for a great showing of Venus in the next few months,
To be honest, I was gonna leave it until January to look for it but if its clearly visible now, I might give it a go on the next clear evening.

Thanks,

Got a view of Venus on Wednesday the 3rd, just after Sunset.
It was very bright and hard to miss.

Anyone see Mercury yet? searched for it on Wednesday evening(i think) but to no avail, although i knew it was there somewhere below & right of Venus about 1 degree above the horizon.
