Tonights Moon was created by martinastro
A few more snaps tonight with the camera and by holding the camera to the eyepiece. Not great shots by any means but its been a while and besides John has got me interested on spending more time with good old luna..

Those are good images Martin,
The almost full moon images are quite nice.
With what eyepieces did you take those with, presiuming eyepiece projection was used?
From here the moon had an almost sepia look about it, with all the haze that was about.

Thanks very much Dave

It was eyepiece projection (handheld) using a 8.5" dob and 40mm eyepiece.

Thanks Eirik

Think the compression/distortion was the angle the camera was held into the eyepiece while i chased after the drifting moon to get a shot lol...at least i think this is what casued it.
