It's Been a Good Day was created by lunartic_old
Early this morning, the postman dropped off my copy of this month's Astronomy Now.  Later on in the morning the courier arrived with the 6.7mm Explore Scientific eyepiece I ordered from Stephen from KTech.  Early afternoon saw a second courier arrive with my Uranometria All Sky edition of the star atlas.
Please do not send hate mail, the rain was here before my items arrived.
Paul

That's great news altogether, Paul.
Sometimes we can be grateful for Fridays.

I too have a 6.7 mm eyepiece which was made by Meade.
Its apparent field of view is a whacking 82 degrees.

How about yours, Paul?

Astronomy Now magazine is one of the very best.

And your Uranometria definitely is extremely good to find so many celestial objects.

Clear skies (eventually)

Aubrey.

It sure was a good day.... Nothing like getting new gear. I've almost pulled trigger on an Explore Scientific eyepiece a few times. I've read great things about this brand. The one I looked at was a 1.25 low powered one though. Do let us know how your one performs Paul as it might be the push I need.

Hopefully, you get to use it soon. However, I have heard that when new astro equipment arrives poor weather follows.

We live in hope for some clear skies,

Darren.

Rumour has it we could have clear nights coming next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
And we will also have a crescent Moon.

Keep an eye on www.met.ie

Aubrey, yep, it's 82 degrees, once you go wide field it's hard to go back.  Crescent moon means lunar observing.

I also had a delivery today, and a missed delivery. What got delivered was this:
www.astrokraken.fr/polar-illuminator-wit...dventurer-a138642520
An alternative to the crappy polar illuminator supplied with the Star Adventurer. Seems pretty good, tight fitting, I'll post a review once I get a clear night to test. First impressions are good however.
What I missed delivery on was a 20KG capable ballhead and a lens warmer:

and

Clear Skies,
