Which Dob was created by spacenut
Hi all,
This is my first time to Post here and I,ll like some advice please.
At the moment I own CPC925 which gives some great clear views but I want to see more
I was looking at the following scopes and I hope somebody would own one and tell me the differents between these and the views I see with my cpc. I was looking at skywatcher skyliner 400p flexi tube parbabolic dobsonian and the Orion xx16 goto truss tube dob. I know these are big scopes but I like the idea of breaking them down into smaller pieces for transport.

Hello Spacenut !
Welcome to IFAS.
I have read reviews of both and it seems they are the same basic optics, both from the same place in China.
The difference is how you take them apart. I have seen the Skywatcher its massive, and slides down to about 1/3 its size.
The Orion as far as i know you take the truss off, for me id be weary of opening and closing bolts over and over.
I rather just pull it closed.
Im saving all my pennies for a 400P at the moment, Stephen @ Ktech sells these and is on this forum could give you more info. Or Telescope Service in Germany will answer any questions you have.
The one thing about a scopes of this size, its bigger than a standard door frame so take that into account
The Orion is selling on Scopes and space website. its about 900 quid more expensive than the Skywatcher. I dont see why tho, maybe someone knows on here
