It's nice to see the national newspapers taking an interest in this of late. More coverage than usual I think.

2 Irish companies will play a central role when spacecraft Rosetta finally lands on a comet and then sends information back to earth.

Studied under Susan in Maynooth, think you did too Seanie?

Nice to see her getting somewhere, I often found her classes interesting.

One class was on elastic properties of space, 40 of us in Callen Hall looking up with blank looks on our faces!

I think I read she did a talk for MAC about 10 years ago? Would that have been around the time she was building this ?

I did study under her in NUI Maynooth when I was studying science there.

She was a guest lecturer of MAC's (TAS's) in 1995 ("Missions to Mars") and 2000 ("Space Projects").

Between the responsibilities of the 2 Irish companies involved, there's either going to be a series of P45s given out or new funding for 10 years, on the morning of November 12th! :D
