Celestron The Sky software was created by phil18ie
Does anyone out there know where I can download a version of celestron thesky software? I mislaid the cd and my computer got a virus that completely wiped off all unsecure programs. I cant find any decent online planeteria software.

Hi Philip,
Try Cartes du Ciel. It's excellent and it's free!
Version 3beta 0.1.0 is still a little unstable and tends to crash occasionally, but is overall a marked improvement on version 2.76 (I use both!)
You'll find it at: www.stargazing.net/astropc/

Celestron include a copy of a basic version (Level 1, I think) of Software Bisque's The Sky v.5 astronomy software with some telescopes - it's not a Celestron product. As this basic version is not commercially available anymore, I doubt you'll find a replacement unless a Celestron dealer has a spare copy. As already mentioned, try Cartes Du Ciel or if you liked The Sky, go to Software Bisque's web site and order the least expensive version, The Sky Student Edition.
