This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.

In my un-scientific test, it scores 50% ... granted I only sent it two images, but still, I'm happy enough with it getting half of them right ... though I'm a bit surprised it missed Orion!

Submitted 3 images all taken with the same set up which give an image scale of 3.14 arcsec/pixel but the plate solve gave a range of 6-17 arcsec/pixel. Work still to do on this I think.

I sent in about six images, some of Holmes, as it looked like they were looking for images. The items it picked out in all images were spot on. What I was a little disappointed in was that it only named the principle features, and seemed to ignore the lesser stars in the field.
However as a result of submitting the images, I've had a huge increase in the number of viewings of pictures on my Flickr page - 839 yesterday, previous high was 93 in one day. At least I assume that its responsible for the increase in traffic, I haven't done anything else recently and my pics really aren't that good to warrant the attention.
