Followers of this forum may be interested in the .Astronomy 2009 conference being help in the Lorentz Center in Leiden, the Netherlands, between November 30th and December 4th this year. The conference title is "Networked Astronomy and the New Media", and many aspects of the use of the web and computers in astronomy will be covered. The conference is organised by (amongst others) Rob Simpson, author of the excellent Orbiting Frog blog and Chris Lintott of Galaxy Zoo fame. I attended the 2008 conference in Cardiff University and found it most interesting.

Hi Seanie,

I know I've been a bit of a lurker in recent times, but to paraphrase someone or other, I haven't gone away, you know! B)
